Community Cardiology Service are Finalists at Prestigious HSJ Partnership Awards
It is an exciting time for the Community Cardiology Service as they have been shortlisted as finalists for the Best Community Services Partnership with the NHS category in the HSJ Partnership Awards 2024.
We are thrilled that the Community Cardiology Service and Southport and Formby Health have been shortlisted for the award, and will be celebrating their achievement at the final on 21st March 2024 in a glittering live ceremony in London.
The Community Cardiology team has been shortlisted for their work that brings cardiology services such as Echocardiograms, extended ECGs and blood pressure monitoring in the heart of the community for patients in Southport and Formby. The service, which is led by a team of clinicians, is more accessible for patients, while reduces waiting times and taking pressures off hospitals.
The successful shortlisting at the HSJ Partnership Awards shines a light on the Community Cardiology Service’s essential role in strengthening our healthcare system and recognises the service’s crucial contribution, celebrating this at a national level.
Helen Mason, Community Cardiology Service Manager commented: "We are honoured to have been shortlisted for the prestigious HSJ Partnership Awards. This recognition reflects our commitment to excellence in healthcare and our dedication to collaborative partnerships that enhance the well-being of our community."
Congratulations and good luck to the Community Cardiology team!
The Health and Care Act cemented collaboration and partnership working as the key success factor for the future sustainability of the NHS. The HSJ Partnership Awards are therefore not just a celebration of success stories but also a platform to shape the future of our new integrated health and care system.
