Sefton Training Hub

About Sefton Training Hub

Welcome to Sefton Training Hub, a locality of the wider Cheshire & Merseyside Training Hub. We support the development and transformation of the primary and community care workforce through education and training across Sefton.

Sefton Training Hub is one of five locality hubs forming Cheshire & Merseyside Training Hub. Our aim is to help attract, recruit and retain staff to ensure that our workforce is fit for the future and so that our patients will benefit from high quality care and services.

Sefton Training Hub is designed to meet the educational needs of the multi-disciplinary primary care and neighbourhood teams across the Sefton area. Training Hubs are hoping to increase the number of medical and non-medical learners. The overarching objective for the training hubs is to support with the growth and development of the primary care workforce across Sefton.

Sefton Training Hub is responsible for the placement of physician associate students across the whole of Cheshire and Merseyside. We regularly support student nurses, pharmacy students and trainee GPs across Sefton. Our team will provide support to any practice hoping to obtain their Unified Learning Environment (ULE) audit to allow organisations to support learners. We are proud that both Sefton, and the wider North West, are leading areas of ULE-approved practices.

If you have any queries, please do contact us: via cmicb-ss.seftontraininghub@nhs.net.

We look forward to working together and hope to expand the support available to practices and ultimately their patients.
